Terms of Use
1. About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the PRUV app. By creating an account or using PRUV, you agree to them. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.
PRUV is run by PRUV APP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17467942). "We", "us" and "our" mean PRUV APP LTD. You can contact us at info@pruvapp.com or through Send feedback in the app.
2. Who can use PRUV
- You must be 18 or over. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up, and we close accounts we find belong to someone younger.
- One account per person. Your account is for you; don't share it or sign in to someone else's.
- Keep your sign-in safe. Use a password you don't use elsewhere and tell us at info@pruvapp.com if you think someone else has got into your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account unless it wasn't your fault.
- Give accurate details. Your profile figures (such as height and weight) feed the numbers PRUV shows you, so they are only as accurate as what you enter.
3. PRUV is not medical advice
PRUV records your training and shows you what you've done. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or manage any condition. Figures such as an estimated one-rep max, strength for your body weight or training volume are guides worked out from what you log, not instructions.
Talk to a doctor before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have an injury, a health condition or are pregnant. Stop if something hurts. You choose what you lift and how; please train within your limits and use equipment safely.
4. Free and PRUV Pro
PRUV is free to use for logging workouts, your history, personal records, body weight, progress photos, the rest timer, stickers and programs. PRUV Pro is an optional paid subscription that adds more, such as your full strength and one-rep-max history charts and more saved workouts. The current list of what Pro includes is shown in the app before you subscribe.
We may change what is free or in Pro over time. If we take a feature out of Pro while you're subscribed, we'll tell you in advance. If you stop paying for Pro, nothing you've logged is deleted: you simply go back to the free features.
5. Subscriptions, free trials, cancelling and refunds
Buying. PRUV Pro is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and paid to them. Their terms also apply to the purchase. The price, the billing period (monthly or yearly) and any free trial are shown in the app before you confirm.
Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the price shown, until you cancel. If we change the price, Apple or Google will tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
Free trials. A free trial lasts the length shown when you start it. You can have one free trial per account. We email you about a week before it ends. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription starts and you are charged. On iPhone, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Cancelling. Cancel any time in your device's subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone; Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android), or from PRUV's Settings → Subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your PRUV account does not cancel a subscription by itself.
Refunds. Because Apple and Google take the payment, refunds are requested from them under their policies (reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple; Google Play's order history for Android). This doesn't affect your legal rights as a UK consumer.
Free Pro. Pro can also be given free: the year promised to beta Founding Members, or a code you redeem in Settings → Subscription. It lasts the time stated, costs nothing and never turns into a paid subscription unless you choose to subscribe.
6. Your data and what you create
What you log is yours. Your workouts, records, weigh-ins, notes and saved workouts belong to you. You let us store and process them only to run PRUV for you, as our Privacy Policy explains. We don't sell your data.
Progress photos stay on your phone. They are never uploaded to us, so we can't recover them if you delete the app or change phones.
Shared images. Stickers and share cards you save or post are yours to use. They carry the PRUV name and your username; please don't edit them to misrepresent what you did.
Resetting and deleting. Settings → Reset tracking data clears your training history (Pro lets you choose what to keep); a reset can't be undone. Settings → Delete account removes your account and its data, as described in the Privacy Policy, and can't be undone either.
Feedback. If you send us a bug report or an idea, we may use it to improve PRUV without paying you or naming you.
7. Using PRUV fairly
Please don't:
- try to hack PRUV, or get into anyone else's account or data;
- copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the app, its exercise library or its content;
- interfere with how PRUV runs, for example by flooding it with requests or using automated tools;
- pick a username or send feedback that is offensive, impersonates someone, or breaks the law.
PRUV is ours. © PRUV APP LTD. The PRUV name and logo are our trade marks. The app and everything in it — its UI and UX design (screens, layouts, graphics, icons, charts and share cards), its text and its exercise library — are protected by copyright and design rights, owned by us or by the people who license content to us. You may use PRUV for your own training; you may not copy, sell or reuse any of it without our written permission.
8. Our responsibility to you
Your legal rights come first. As a UK consumer you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including that digital content you pay for is as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. Citizens Advice can explain them.
What we do. We take reasonable care to keep PRUV working and your data safe and backed up. PRUV works offline and syncs when you reconnect, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs, and we may pause it briefly for maintenance.
What we're not responsible for. We are not responsible for:
- injury from training, since you decide what to lift and how (section 3);
- losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or business losses (PRUV is for personal use);
- problems caused by your device, your connection, or Apple or Google;
- progress photos lost from your phone (section 6).
What we never limit. We do not exclude or limit our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Otherwise, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for PRUV Pro in the 12 months before the problem arose.
9. Changes and ending your account
Changes to PRUV and these terms. We improve PRUV often, sometimes with updates that install in the background. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account before then.
You can leave any time with Settings → Delete account (cancel any subscription with Apple or Google too, section 5).
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users or PRUV at risk, or belongs to someone under 18. Unless the reason is serious or the law stops us, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close PRUV altogether, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a refund for any Pro time you've paid for and not used, where Apple or Google allows it.
10. Law, disputes and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts and keep the protections of your local law.
If something goes wrong, please tell us first at info@pruvapp.com or through Send feedback, and we'll try to put it right. These terms are the whole agreement between us about PRUV; if a court finds part of them invalid, the rest still applies.
